Pipeseal Penetration Seals
Flexicraft PipeSeals make a rubber seal for pipes and conduit going through walls, floors, tanks, etc. Easy to install and economical, PipeSeals come in a wide range of sizes. By choosing the correct model and number of links, the PipeSeal belt will expand when wrench tightened to fill the gap and create a seal. Choices can be determined based on the OD of the pipe and ID of the hole, which can be core drilled or a pipe sleeve.
Two major PipeSeal types are provided. The first seals against water and other debris, while the second has a 2 hour UL rating as a firestop. Choose which type you are interested in below for more information.
Water Seals
The Pipeseal Waterseal provides an
economical and sure method of sealing pipes and conduit through walls and floors for 20 psig. Choice first starts with materials. Three types of rubber, and two types of metal hardware are available. For most applications, EPDM is the proper choice, but Nitrile is best if the seal may be exposed to hydrocarbons. Stainless steel hardware can also be used in areas where corrosion is a tougher problem. And Silicone is the choice for high temperature applications. (currently not shown in the table below.) After choosing materials, you determine which model and how many links will be needed. Assistance can be provided, or the sizing program below can be used.
F2HR Firestop
The Pipeseal
F-2HR provides a superior method for making a firestop
penetration seal. With the F-2HR, you get a UL classified firestop
seal with a two hour F-rating. The systems include metallic and
PVC piping and copper tubing through concrete walls. The holes can
be either core drilled or use pipe sleeves. (See systems
C-AJ-1423, C-AJ-1424, and C-AJ-2369) You must determine which
model and how many links will be needed for your penetration.
